What role does fashion play in your life?
I think fashion is an interesting world…But I look at fashion more in a marketing, concept way.
I think it’s interesting how you can make brands successful, and I love it to do research on human/consumer behavior.
What I enjoy the most about fashion; is you can turn a shit design into gold, you just need to know how, and it’s all about psychology, power and concept. In the end it’s more about branding for me, than appreciating real fashion nowadays. And if it comes to the designs in fashion, I love unknown upcoming real haute couture designers with a real story, opinion, attitude and visual eye.

How did you end up working on all these cool creative projects? What do you love about your job?
It all started with my passion for history, images, magazines, film, photography and books.
Being patient, struggles, confidence, and hard work.
I also graduated with a bachelor degree of Artemis Academy; allround styling and design in the fields of fashion, media, interior design and food. And after that it all started when Merinda Kate Jackson (owner of The Lovers & Drifters Club) scouted me, she gave me a platform to create and share.
I love my job, because I can work with my emotions, and I love emotions.

What was one of the most exciting projects you have worked on so far?
I can’t name 1, I have to say I couldn’t believe I got flown over in a plane towards Los Angeles this summer, for a new campaign with The Lovers & Drifters Club shot by one of my favorite photographers Henrik Purienne, but seeing my own photos for American Apparel being published on billboards through the whole city of L.A. was an unreal feeling. And I just got back from London, for a cool upcoming project…

Who or what is your source of inspiration?
I find it important to visit book shops, buy a lot of magazines, to be interested in people, hereby I mean learning to really listen to people their stories, movies, music, the internet nowadays is amazing, I don’t understand why people keep bitching about it, it’s great for research and it’s fast. And using your own fantasy helps to just create.

How would you describe your style?
I love wearing unisex items, mixing rough with sexy, minimalistic, I can mix it up with some intense prints sometimes if I feel like it, and I do love playing with outspoken fabrics and colors on my terms, sneakers and heels.

Ultimate dream?
My ultimate dream is.. to not lose my beloved ones.

In what way are you conscious about recycling or sustainable fashion?
I think it’s very important to be conscious about recycling or sustainable fashion, I do have to say I could be a bit more aware of it, but you have an app and facebook called: rank a brand. Sometimes I try to figure out how sustainable the brand is, it’s interesting and you learn a lot about the industry in general.
Also, I found it very important that clothing isn’t produced by child labor, or people that are treated very bad. But it’s a hard business to figure out if everything is honestly & sustainable made. I also try to not just throw away my old clothes, but give it away to charity.
